About the Challenge

Driven by deep learning innovation, interest in artificial intelligence (AI) techniques has been mounting recently. AI techniques are expected to be promising and applied to a wide variety of social systems.
Thus, we will need to review system behavior and warrant the quality, and being able to explain the reason for an AI decision (explainablility) is becoming more important to ensure the secure and safe use of AI techniques.
Under the circumstances, we, the Special Interest Group on Semantic Web and Ontology (SWO) of the Japanese Society for AI (JSAI), decided to organize a competition calling for ideas of reasoning and/or estimating by AI techniques. The Knowledge Graph Reasoning Challenge was developed with the aim of sharing knowledge and good practices and is promoting the development of AI techniques.
